The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) explicitly and strongly promotes new economic development. With the passing of regional structures, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) are likely to become increasingly influential in this policy area. This briefing includes campaign tips, an appendix outlining the role of Local Enterprise Partnerships and an analysis of law and policy changes introduced by the National Planning Policy Framework in March 2012.
