The Hall dates from 1719 when it was originally designed by the Smiths of Warwick. It was altered in 1837 by Blore and partly re-built by Salvin in 1861 following a disastrous fire. Georgian Chapel, herbaceous borders, lakeside gardens, woodland walks.

The Japanese Garden

Merriments Gardens

Merriments Gardens is a beautiful 4-acre garden set in the rolling East Sussex countryside. Many of the plants are grown in the nursery, specialising in unusual perennials, which you can buy in the Plant Centre. The shop has a large range of compost, tools and garden sundries, together with gifts and cards. Merriments Restaurant uses locally sourced produce and serves breakfast, lunch and tea offering table service and a licensed restaurant.

Larmer Tree

Set in the outstanding landscape of the Cranborne Chase, on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, these beautifully laid out gardens were created by General Pitt Rivers in 1880.
