Volunteering for CPRE has demonstrated to me how connected and complex some issues can be.

Volunteering for CPRE Hampshire over the last 10 years has been an eventful journey - learning lots on route and meeting some amazing people. I started by volunteering as secretary for a District Group and then was drawn to various campaign issues - litter and local food.  My involvement with Local Foods, in particular food web mapping, then drew me in to campaigning against a large food superstore to be built alongside a heritage site in a nearby village. As CPRE rep on the Action Group committee, I witnessed first-hand the power of the media and the machinations of corporations and government bodies.  Volunteering for CPRE has demonstrated to me how connected and complex some issues can be.
