Marsh Awards 2012

Winner - Alex Hills, CPRE Kent

For his leadership the campaign which secured the future of Gravesham district's Green Belt.

This award is given to the most outstanding volunteer contribution to a CPRE activity.

Winner: Shirley Fieldhouse, CPRE Cambridgeshire

For 35 years, Shirley has served her local CPRE Branch as a volunteer, campaigning tirelessly to help protect and enhance the Cambridgeshire countryside. She has served in a variety of roles including Secretary of South Cambs District Group.

Group winner: Cumnor Cleaners

As a community-based volunteer project tackling local litter, which started with a small ad in the parish newsletter, the Cumnor Clean-up has now become a twice-yearly community event covering an area of over 10 square miles, with a list of more than a hundred regular volunteers of all ages.
